Job Title: Yard Hand
Location: Dublin, TX
Department: Retail
Summary: Our Yard Hand is responsible for assisting in day-to-day operations within our retail shop/ store and steel yard.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Assist in loading and unloading material from machines
• Assist operators and drivers in the retail shop/ store and yard
• Handle and transport materials and equipment within the facility
• Use power tools and machinery when needed
• Set out or put away tools when needed
• Clean up store and yard free of debris, dirt, and hazardous material
• Follow instructions from supervisors to perform tasks
• Report issues with equipment or unsafe conditions

Qualifications:

• Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating/maintenance instructions and procedure manuals
• Positive attitude and desire to work as a team player
• Ability for cross training in other areas of the shop
• Follow safety procedures including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment

Physical Demands and Work Environment:

• Frequently required to stand, walk, bend, stoop, kneel or crawl
• Frequently required to utilize hand and finger dexterity
• Frequently required to talk or hear
• Frequently work near moving mechanical parts
• Occasionally exposure to outside weather conditions
• Occasionally exposure to extreme heat or cold (non-weather)
• While performing the duties of this job, the noise level in the work environment is usually very loud
• The employee must be able to lift and/or move more than 50 pounds
