Xactware Solutions, Inc. seeks a Web Systems Engineer I in Lehi, UT.

Duties:

Build scalable, distributed systems with service-oriented architectures. Create and manage infrastructure that is secure, scalable, and highly available on AWS, and on-prem. Employ AWS cloud security tools to maintain a secure and scalable environment. Utilize CloudFormation to implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) within AWS. Bring awareness to cost optimizations and efficiencies and how to best leverage cloud services. Configure and manage a mixed-platform environment with both Linux and Windows systems. Manage an Atlassian Bitbucket source code repository. Plan, test, and complete migrations of Bitbucket repositories. Manage a multi-environment Octopus deployment system including dealing with licensing, tentacle installation, putting together Octopus deployments, targets, projects, etc. Build AWS resources using Terraform projects. Manage EC2 instances with Chef Systems Management. Utilize EKS/Kubernetes/Docker containerization and work with development teams to design and implement automated environment provisioning and container solutions.

Requires a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, plus 2 years of related experience. Requires any amount of experience in all of the following: 1) Building AWS resources using Terraform projects. 2) Server automation/configuration management using tools such as Chef, Puppet, Salt, and Ansible. 3) Automated scripting with tools such as Python, Bash, Ruby, PowerShell, etc. for the automation of day-to-day tasks and creating self-healing/auto-remediation scripts. 4) Monitoring application performance and server health with tools such as Dynatrace, New Relic, AppDynamics, Nagios, SolarWinds, and Splunk.
