Kpono Government Services LLC is looking for a qualified Web/Database Administrator to support our Army contract in Fort Gordon, GA.

 



JOB DUTIES:




  • Maintain and administer the Cyber Awareness Server database and web interfaces (e.g. Microsoft (MS) SharePoint, Blackboard, and Army Knowledge Online (AKO) in support of the CCoE G6. This task is required to support the Army CIO/G6 requirements for training and certification of IAT and IAM Level I, II and III, IA personnel DoD 8570.01-M or current regulation.

  • Attend meetings and conferences as required in efforts to maintain currency of the database and website, the database/web administrator shall obtain and record information regarding policies and regulation governing IT administration.

  • Provide a full range of web application design services (e.g. Java, Pre Hypertext Processor (PHP), Dreamweaver) required to operate, maintain, modify, and upgrade the web-based user access portal.

  • Analyze new requirements and recommend the most efficient and effective method of incorporating them and take the necessary action to implement them.

  • Assist in the review and evaluation of other Command organization’s systems, database, and web interfaces to determine best practices in providing coordination and communication between systems e.g. USARPAC, FORSCOM, MEDCOM, and TRADOC.

  • Design, develop, implement, maintain and upgrade CSB’s IA database, IA AKO portal, IA Blackboard, IA MS SharePoint, and IA website(s).

  • Operate, maintain and upgrade the servers that provide hosting support for the IA web page(s) and database services to support CSB IA customer requirements.



REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:




  • A minimum of three (3) years of experience in the field of Database Engineering and worked directly in the career field during three (3) of the preceding five (5) years.

  • A minimum of three (3) years of experience administrating a website and worked directly in the career field during three (3) of the preceding five (5) years.

  • Must possess advanced IT administrator skills e.g. remote administration, remote desktop, Group Policy Object (GPO) management, system backup and recovery, and monitor servers for performance evaluation and optimization.

  • Have a strong understanding of virtualization, Software Defined Storage, local area networking, LANs, switching, servers, etc.

  • Demonstrated experience with system and database administration within the Microsoft Azure Cloud

  • Have the ability to communicate with virtualization architects about the virtual environment. • Have an understanding of NIST SP 800 series, Army IT and IA Regulations (ex. 25-1 and 25-2), DoD Cyber Security Regulations, OWASP, FedRamp and Cloud Security Alliance framework. • Have the ability to create system documentation such as Standard Operating procedures, etc. • Have the understanding of user experience best practices, information architecture, and interaction/visual design.

  • Have the ability to install and upgrade SQL Server 2016

  • Have the ability to install and configure Windows Server 2012

  • Have the ability to configure Advanced Server 2012



DEGREE/EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENT:




  • Must possess Bachelor’s degree or higher in related field Certs:

  • Must possess an active CompTIA Security+ certification or higher

  • Must be IAT Level II compliant by possessing one of the following certifications: CCNA Security, CYSA+, GICSP, GSEC, Security+, SSCP

  • Must be able to obtain appropriate CE commercial certification IAW current DoD, Army and NEC guidance upon contract start. Currently: SQL 2016- Installing and Upgrading SQL Server 2016. Computing Environment (CE): must be current platform (or higher) IAW Army guidance (i.e migration from Windows 7 to Windows 10, Server 2007 to 2012, etc.). Currently: Installing and Configuring Windows Server 2012 (70-410) and Configuring Advanced Server 2012 Services (70-412)

  • A Secret clearance is required.
