Responsibilities:

  • Oversee Production Operations: Manage all aspects of production, including scheduling, safety, quality, shipping, maintenance, and other administrative functions for the facility. Maintain a safe, clean, and efficient operation.
  • Manage Personnel: Responsible for hiring, training, and supervising personnel. Must create a positive work environment, motivate workers, and promote a continuous improvement culture. Deliver performance reviews and any feedback to the team as needed. Participate in weekly meetings to provide expertise on opportunities for improvement.
  • Develop and implement manufacturing strategies: Responsible for developing and implementing strategies that optimize production efficiencies and reduce cost. They must analyze data to identify inefficiencies and areas for improvement and develop plans to address them.
  • Analyze Production Data: Analyze production data to identify trends, patterns, and areas for improvement. They must use this data to ensure KPIs are met and develop strategies to improve. This data must be reported to the leadership on a regular basis.
  • Develop and Monitor Budgets: Responsible for developing and monitoring budgets for the facility. They must identify areas where costs can be reduced and implement cost-saving measures.
  • Implement Safety Protocols: Work with our safety consultant to implement safety protocols and procedures to ensure that the facility is a safe place to work and meets all
  • Manage Supply Chain: Develop relationships suppliers to source materials, negotiate price and manage vendors. They must ensure that the facility has the necessary materials to operate efficiently with production targets.
  • Quality Control: Develop and maintain a quality control program, including responding to inquiries to resolve quality issues.
  • Coordinate with other Departments: Coordinate with other departments, such as construction trades, Accounting, Finance, and HR to ensure production goals are aligned with the overall goals of the organization.
  • Continuous Improve Processes: Continuously improve processes to increase efficiency and reduce costs. They must use lean tools to standardize processes and improve efficiency. They must implement new methods to efficiency and train employees on the new process and constantly look for new ways to improve the production process.

Requirements

Required Skills:

  • The ability to collaborate with all levels of the organization to identify best practices and solutions.
  • Have a good understanding of Carpentry, Manufacturing and Fabrication techniques.
  • The ability to read and understand blueprints.
  • Understand construction sequencing and constructability of multi-family buildings.
  • Knowledge of building codes.
  • Knowledge of Lean principals and tools.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Proficient at managing multiple projects and meeting deadlines.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Desire and ability to train others.
  • Microsoft Word & Excel.

Preferred Skills:

  • BlueBeam
  • Solidworks
  • Knowledge of Welding - AWS
