Volunteers Needed

Region VII Area Agency on Aging is recruiting volunteers (unpaid) to assist us in servicing senior citizens in the following counties: Bay, Clare, Gladwin, Gratiot, Huron, Isabella, Midland, Saginaw, Sanilac and Tuscola.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Deliver food boxes to clients in need or assist in food giveaway events


• May also include packaging and labeling


• Transport seniors to medical appointments


• Make phone calls to seniors who are socially isolated and in need of a friendly person to ensure their health, safety, and welfare


• Assist seniors in navigating their Medicare and Medicaid insurance coverage plans


• Will be trained and certified in Medicare and Medicaid (Great, if already certified!)

Requirements & Qualifications:

*May include one or more of the following:

• Must be able to lift up to 30 lbs.


• Reliable Transportation


• Able to be on feet for multiple hours


• Comfortable working in all kinds of weather


• Chauffer’s License (if applicable)


• Must be able to pass a drug screen and background check


• Flexible schedule
