About the Role

We are seeking a passionate and highly skilled video editor for a top NYC-based digital and social media agency. You will play a pivotal role in creating custom content for a diverse range of clients, from startups to Fortune 500 companies. This is a high-level opportunity within a rapidly growing organization. Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the creative director and management to produce high-quality, custom video content.
  • Review and edit raw footage and materials to create polished video content.
  • Develop pre-visualization materials, storyboards, and concept presentations to communicate the creative vision effectively.
  • Stay updated with the latest trends and best practices in video production and social media marketing, including social media trends, formats, and styles.
  • Select appropriate music, sound effects, and audio elements to enhance video quality.
  • Utilize aesthetic skills to combine colors, fonts, and layouts effectively.
  • Maintain a well-organized library of content and digital assets, paying close attention to detail.
  • Implement feedback from clients and team members, fostering collaboration in a fast-paced production environment.
  • Produce quick turnaround videos when necessary, meeting tight deadlines.
  • Self-manage projects, communicate effectively, and collaborate seamlessly with cross-functional teams within the organization.

Requirements

  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, including Premiere Pro, Photoshop, After Effects, Lightroom, Podcast, and Media Encoder.
  • Hands-on experience in video editing across various genres, including event recaps, entertainment/nightlife, corporate, weddings, health/wellness, and product content.
  • Strong storytelling and narrative abilities, demonstrating a creative editing style.
  • Access to a Mac or Windows-based PC or laptop.
  • Knowledge and experience with both traditional and cutting-edge video equipment and technologies.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects of varying complexities, meet deadlines, and perform well under pressure.
  • Capability to bring a directors or creatives vision to life while adding a unique perspective to elevate projects to the next level.
