Cox Communications is currently seeking a Video Control Systems Operations /Senior SoftwareEngineer to play a pivotal role in overseeing the administration, expansion, and maintenance of crucial video control systems. This position entails providing tier III support and administration for Cox's video control system's tools and applications, in addition to offering technical guidance & solutions for complex operational components to leadership and team. Moreover, the role encompasses advanced video systems administration, incident management, service assurance, maintenance, and fix agent support for Cox's video control systems, covering guide applications, application servers, IP & QAM Video, and Control Systems.Role Responsibilities: Provide escalated support for video control systems and services Assist in quality detection and adjustment solutions for Linear Segmented Addressable Ads Handle Tier III escalations from various departments and teams during BAU and On-Call support hours Perform diagnosis, configuration, and troubleshooting for systemic and video quality issues Ensure adherence to MTTR, SLA's, and OLA's through ticket management Lead troubleshooting efforts for system-wide video technology incidents as incident command Oversee system maintenance, upgrades, and software patches Collaborate with internal teams and vendors for continuous improvement and project execution Provides mentoring to junior team members Assists with design and R&D of new video products and software Qualifications: Minimum: Bachelor's degree in a related discipline and 4 years' experience in Cable TV operations. The right candidate could also have a different combination, such as a master's degree and 2 years' experience; a Ph.D. and up to 1 year of experience; or 8 years' experience in a related field 1+ year of experience in digital broadband distribution or video engineering protocols and delivery systems 1+ year of experience in network protocols, equipment, configuration, and troubleshooting Preferred: Degree in related discipline strongly desired (e.g., Information Systems, Computer Science) Project management experience USD 97,100.00 - 161,800.00 per yearCompensation:Compensation includes a base salary of $97,100.00 - $161,800.00. The base salary may vary within the anticipated base pay range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate's knowledge, skills, and abilities.
