Requirements

Utility worker: Where you come in.

We are looking for Utility Worker to help maintain facilities and equipment. You will be responsible for performing a variety of maintenance and repair tasks as well as general construction projects. You will be reliable, have a strong work ethic, and have experience in a variety of maintenance and repair tasks.

Requirements and Skills:

1. High school diploma or GED.
2. Valid drivers license and ability to successfully pass a Motor Vehicle Records (MVR) check.
3. Excellent problem-solving ability and able to pivot quickly, depending on changing job or site requirements.
4. You should also have a basic understanding of general construction, steel stud framing, concrete pouring and finishing.
5. Must be able to work alone (unsupervised) or with a team.
6. Top-notch communication and listening skills are critical for this position.

Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Basic understanding of general construction principles, including steel stud framing and concrete pouring and finishing.
2. 4+ years of experience in hanging and finishing drywall, with an emphasis on finishing and patching.
3. Able to inspect project components and equipment; identify problems and make recommendations to site leadership as needed.
4. Perform all work safely and in accordance with company, local, state, and federal safety procedures.
5. Maintain the job site, equipment, and tools per company expectations.

Benefits

Compensation: paid in accordance with the union wage scale.

This position is non-exempt (hourly) and is represented by UA Local 32. Union membership is required, and an offer of employment is contingent upon the candidate successfully completing all mandates for union membership.

Occasional night or weekend work may be required.
