Job Title - Project Engineer

Location - Windsor, Connecticut
Full Time


JOB DETAIL

This is considered an onsite position, meaning this role will require working onsite at our customer location and/or our LTTS facility both located in Windsor, CT.

Primary Responsibilities

Work with senior project engineers to drive the schedule, cost, performance, overall success of cross-functional aerospace engineering projects.

Support the management of the design / integration of complex assemblies

Host and coordinate integrated product team meetings with key stakeholders.

Support and participate in product design reviews.

Maintain an ongoing action item tracker and hold stakeholders accountable to drive on-time action item closure

Generate status reports and present project status to external and internal stakeholders on a regular basis

Work with senior project engineers to proactively identify project scope, budget, and schedule risks and implement strategies to minimize risk and overcome project success barriers.

Follow defined processes to update and maintain customer systems and databases (including PLM software) with the latest project status

Participate in ad-hoc project engineering initiatives, such as failure investigations (RRCAs), engineering changes (configuration management), earned value management systems (EVMS)

Leverage your engineering knowledge to have informed, technical discussions across engineering groups to have a thorough understanding of technical project performance

Visit customers in-person as needed to drive project progress

Escalate project barriers and risks as needed

Own and maintain all project documentation

Coordinate with suppliers as needed

Follow all required standard work, and adhere to all compliance and regulation requirements

Basic Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in mechanical or aerospace Engineering

2+ year(s) of relevant experience

Direct experience with project management in an engineering environment

Ability to proactively take action to drive on-time results

Outstanding communication and technical writing skills

Excellent customer service skills
