Immediate need for a talented Data Center Technician. Employee benefits include, but are not limited to, health insurance (medical, dental, vision), 401(k) plan, and paid sick leave (depending on work locationKey Responsibilities: Perform installation, termination, testing, and labeling of Cross Connects, including CAT5, COAX, and Fiberbull; Perform Installation of Cage, Cabinets, Ladder Rack, and Fiber Traybull; Remote Hands services for Customers including Hardware Installation, Power Strips, Rails, Cable Management, and Customer Equipment troubleshooting/rebootsbull; Data Center infrastructure equipment alarm acknowledgment and responsebull; Basic Understanding of Power, UPS, Generator, HVAC, Fire Detection/ Suppression, Local Security, and Monitoring systemsbull;Basic understanding of Data Center electrical power generation and distribution, mechanical support equipment.Key Requirements and Technology Experience: Cable Experience is mustCAT5, CAT6, COAX, and Fiber Strong organizational and communication skills (written and verbal Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, Exchange, SharePoint, Teams, Visio, and Microsoft. Analysis, problem-solving, organizational, team building, conflict management. Ability to lift 50 pounds. Ability to work in rotational shifts including day/nights including weekends and holidays as required. Ability to stand for extended durations. Ability to utilize a pallet jack/forklift. Familiarity with IT equipment including servers, network switches, storage, and cabinets Solid working knowledge of data center environments and infrastructure, network and telecommunications protocols and platforms, and disaster recovery.Our client is a leadingIT organization and we are currently interviewing to fill this and other similar contract positions.
