What Does a Stocker/Loader Do?

• Perform assigned tasks in an outdoor environment
• Supports a critical component of customer service by providing fast, friendly, safe and accurate service
• Unloads and loads material manually and/or with a forklift
• Responsible for building loads for deliveries
• Assists customers with safely loading and securing lumber and other products
• Pulls merchandise for customers as needed
• Maintains inventory by labeling and placing materials and supplies in stock
• Process checkouts and monitors yard
• Helps keep the yard clean, safe and organized
• Other tasks as assigned

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Computer skills
• Construction or building material experience highly preferred
• Experience with doors, windows and trim required
• Ability to work outside in varying temperatures and weather
• Must be able to work a variety of shifts including weekends
• Able to accurately count and distinguish between merchandise within the store
• Ability to lift up to climb up and down ladders, reach, bend, twist, kneel, lift up to 100 lbs., handle large odd-shaped items, and stock items in overhead areas
• Results-oriented with the ability to serve stores with humility and be a steward of Nations Bests values
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment while remaining adaptable and flexible
• Strong interpersonal skills with the willingness to consistently provide superior customer service skills
