Responsible for the day-to-day functions of the Finance department. This includes but is not limited to, defining and maintaining internal controls, general ledger management, banking activities, asset management, maintaining appropriate GAAP accounting practices, general ledger reconciliations, and preparing monthly reporting. Additionally, this position helps to coordinate and deliver forecasting activities, including the annual operating plan.

This is a hybrid role and requires 2 days per week in our office located in Boulder. This is a salaried, exempt role and the range is $85-$95k per year

A Typical Day Will Include:

  • Revenue Recognition and Analysis
  • Fixed Asset Management
  • Software Development Analysis
  • Payroll journals, accruals, and reconciliations
  • Employee expense reimbursement review in accordance with company policy and approval for payroll
  • Monthly commission calculations and statement preparation
  • Month-end journal entries and reconciliations for assigned areas (Fixed Assets, Commissions, Payroll, etc.)
  • Assist with cost accounting tasks and reports (inventory, variances, standard cost, burden rates)
  • Assist and backup AR & AP tasks (Invoicing, Collections, Vouchering, Vendor payments, 1099, etc.)
  • Credit Application processing as requested
  • Assist with sales, use, income tax and other regulatory filings and reports
  • Enter accounting related information into business logs
  • Inspect accounting books for efficiency and accuracy
  • Organize and update financial records
  • Prepare documentation for external auditors

Requirements

Musts:

  • Working knowledge of Excel (ex: pivot tables, vlookups)
  • System/ERP experience (Epicor or other)
  • Advanced knowledge of GAAP
  • Must be a US Person in accordance with United States immigration laws to be considered for this position

Youll stand out if:

  • Have Epicor Experience
  • Experience in product manufacturing/software development

Education: Bachelor's in Accounting
