Responsibilities of the Quality Control Engineer:

• Develop NDT procedure(s), techniques, calibration methods, equipment evaluation for Magnetic particle Inspection, Penetrant Inspection and Radiography.
• Develop NDT personnel training, testing methods and required administration.
• May evaluate processes at external and internal suppliers
• Conducts supplier audits to quality standards and in support of supplier selection and improvement.
• Drives effective root cause analyses and corrective action. Spearheads process improvement activities at client and supplier facilities.
• Performs Quality Engineering tasks like Quality Planning, Data Analysis and Process Control activities.
• Occasionally performs thorough examinations of all materials and finished products; specifically perform a variety of non-destructive testing techniques on large machined forgings using ultrasonic, magnetic particle, and dye-penetrant techniques as specified by order planning documents. Record results as required.
• Maintains current certification on required non-destructive techniques.
• Identify and troubleshoot equipment problems and defects.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Participate in other special projects.
• Other duties as assigned with or without accommodation.

Requirements of the Quality Control Engineer:

• BS Degree in Mechanical or Metallurgical Engineering preferred--degree in a related Engineering field considered
• 5+ years experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment
• ASNT Level III NDT certifications in Mag Particle, Liquid Penetrant and Radiography required--Open to Level II certifications with good experience
• Strong attention to detail--Strong analytical skills
• Excellent verbal and written skills
• US Citizenship is REQUIRED
