Job Description
Title: Quality Assurance Tech II
Location: Tempe, AZ 85281
Duration: Until Oct 2023- Possible extension
Daily Schedule: mon - fri 8-5 (Hybrid but may go into fully in office soon.)
Reason for Request: Temporary QA is needed to help with international rollout of Seller Forums and Discourse based Forums deprecation
Years of Experience: 3-5 years QAE. Not expected to automate anything but need to understand manual test cases and how to operate on them.
- Required: React and Java for primary backing language for the product. Should be able to use developer tools on a browser. Web application.
- Preferred: automation tools or framework (but it will be more manual testing.)
Be able to work on unexplored aspect of testing for a product. They would have control in what they bring in terms of what mechanism, they will be guiding how testing should be done from a QA standpoint and at the end of the day they will help improve the seller engagement by solving issues for them.
Team culture : For one team there are 7 members and the other has 6 members. One contractor would come into his team and one for the other. Very collaborative, they have stand ups with the whole teams. They try to only have meetings Mon, Tues, Thursday. Very inclusive environment
Team Overview: They handle the Seller Teams which currently has three products; Seller Forum, Seller News, and Seller Poles. Team specifically is handling the Seller Forum initiative which they wrote the application for It from scratch. The product is there to provide 3 rd party sellers the ability to talk to each other, help each other out, and in case of need Client can jump in to help. They monitor it and there are community advisors to help maintain. The main goal is to increase seller engagement.
Degree or Certification: BS Computer Leadership Principle: Deep Dive, insist on high standards, Ownership *would expect them to work independently to get the bugs fixed
