Title: Manager - Purchase

Qualification: Any Graduate or BE / Diploma ECE/EEE/EIE

Experience: 8 15years

CTC: 4.50 7.00 LPA

Reporting To: Operations Manager / Plant Head

Location: Coimbatore

As an Assisting Manager you will be responsible for purchasing equipment, goods and services and managing vendors. You supposed to manage the suppliers within cluster of Industrial and Medical / Railways and Automotive/ Defence and Aerospace sectors.

Roles and Responsibilities

Developing and implementing purchasing strategies.

Managing daily purchasing activities, supervising staff, and allocating tasks as per plan.

Managing supplier relations and negotiating contracts, prices, timelines for effective purchase methods.

Maintaining the supplier database, purchase records, and related documentation for ease access.

Forecast price and market trends to identify changes of balance in buyer-supplier power

Must have strong knowledge in raw materials purchase and make it effective.

Hands on experience in Import and interstate activities and able to handle independently.

Coordinating with inventory control to determine and manage inventory needs.

Evaluates and approves conditions for issuing and awarding bids.

Ensuring that all procured items meet the required quality standards and specifications as required.

Responsible to ensure on time deliveries as per the companies requirement.

Resolves grievances with vendors, contractors, and suppliers.

Monitor and forecast upcoming levels of demand and Preparing cost estimates and managing budgets.

Working to improve purchasing systems and processes.

Training new employees in the purchasing process and how to use the purchasing system.

Acts as the companys representative in negotiations with suppliers.

Coordinates removal or disposal of surplus materials.

Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements and skills

Proven experience as a purchasing manager.

Deep knowledge of inventory and supply chain management.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office and purchasing software.

Strong critical thinking and negotiation skills.

Excellent written and oral communication and presentation skills.

Strong planning and organizational skills.
