Olea's Prototype and Integration Technician bridges the gap between Engineering and Manufacturing by performing a dry-fit of new designs and custom projects, evaluates functionality of fabricated parts and electronic components as designed, and documents the assembly process.


The essential duties and responsibilities of a Prototype and Integration specialist at Olea include:

  • Perform dry-fit of mechanical parts or kiosk assemblies, and document results per established dry-fit procedure
  • Perform functional integration of devices, and document results
  • Identify, document, and drive corrective actions for issues found in integration
  • Develop mechanical models for commonly used parts that we dont normally stock (PCs, printers, etc.) to facilitate dry-fit evaluation of mechanical fit, airflow, consumables consideration, etc.
  • Create and maintain interconnect drawings/diagrams
  • Create and maintain assembly and integration work instructions
  • Evaluate kiosk designs for maintenance, service, and support, assess ease of access for consumables, maintenance, or repair, and recommend maintenance schedules

This is a full-time, on-site position in Cerritos, CA. Starting pay for this role is $26 to $31 per hour.

Requirements

To be considered for the position, candidates should have the following qualifications:

  • Three years of experience in mechanical and electromechanical assembly
  • Experience in prototyping designs, and developing and executing test procedures
  • Able to use hand tools and small power tools
  • Effectively communicate with individuals across the organization
  • Disciplined and organized with the proven ability to manage multiple projects and/or deadlines
  • Ability to think proactively and solve problems, limiting impact to production and delivery schedules
  • Collaborative and team-oriented player who thrives in a fun and fast paced environment
  • Growth mindset with a passion to learn and reach your full potential
