•  Provide project leadership excellence within a division engineering group that leads, capital projects, new technology migrations and new process developments


•  Establish overall project requirements and plans, leading the project team from Initial Planning thru Project Closeout.


•  Effectively lead, interface and communicate within the division and plant teams worldwide


•  Solve technically complex problems within equipment, construction and quality areas for Display

• Deliver strong project leadership thru the project initiation, planning, implementation and closeout phases


•  Develop project scopes, estimates, schedules and AR budget documentation


• Develop and deliver clear and concise project presentations; such as, business case justifications, project financials and project status summaries to leadership.


•  Exercise sound judgment, solid engineering principles and utilize structured problem-solving techniques


• Lead, guide, coach & help develop internal functional and project team members


• Ability to multitask, lead multiple projects and actively work and participate in project teams in various roles and capacities


•  Effectively listen and communicate utilizing multiple channels and means

• Excellent project leadership, presentation, communication, and organizational skills


•  Excellent soft leadership, interpersonal and team building skills


• Project estimating, cost control and scheduling experience


•  Able to apply project leadership and technical principles to concepts, designs, trouble shooting and solving problems


•  Problem solving skills and the use of structured methods; such as, K-T (DA, PPA, RA), DESGN & DMAIC

•  Proficient in MS Project, MS Excel, MS Project


•  Proficient in Box, SharePoint and collaborative workspace environments


•  Corning Capricorn experience and certifications


•  Professional Engineering Certification


•  PMI certification


•  Equipment installation, commissioning and trouble-shooting experience


•  Glass Melting and Forming design, operations or installation experience

• $1600 per/month for lodging if applicant lives more than 30 miles away


• Location: USA - NY - Corning 


• Duration of contract: 8 - 12 Months


• Education/ Experience: • BS degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Electrical or equivalent. MS degree preferred, (minimum required for consideration): 10-15 years of engineering & professional work experience
