Job Description:
The ideal candidate will apply project management knowledge to the coordination, development, monitoring, and completion of project initiatives for OIT and Georgia Public Health Laboratories (GPHL).
This position will require coordinating and working with Project Managers, OIT teams, business leads, internal and external partners, and vendors on assigned projects and initiatives. Candidate should have experience with coordinating and managing multiple complex project activities, producing analysis and report data, and following widely recognized industry standards and methodologies for completion of work in project management.
Coordinates with Project Managers, internal, and external resources to ensure that projects scope, schedule, and budget are well organized.
Coordinates and organizes multiple project initiatives to include monitoring completion of activities and adherence to processes and operational procedures.
Serves as liaison for technical teams, vendors, internal and external resources as needed.
Document processes, workflows, and procedures to support standard operations.
Provides support and meets regularly concerning project activities, status of project initiatives, and project results.
Assists in development of recommendations on policies and procedures to implement to effectively met project goals and requirements.
Facilitates collaborative team and committee meetings to achieve project goals.
Maintains project management calendar for project initiatives.
Provides project administrative and operational support as needed.
Conducts quality assessments, operational procedure reviews, and ensures that change management procedures and standards are met.
Consults with vendors or technical staff to ensure that functionality of systems is consistent with adherence to policies, state and federal laws and regulations, and best practice standards.
Creates and presents project status reports/dashboards and presentations.
Coordinates activities and data collection with internal and external customers.
Ability to lift and/or move up to 30 pounds.
Ability to work in an environment that may require extensive standing.
