We are looking for an experienced Production Accountant to provide support to the financial department and manage daily accounting tasks. This full time position will help to maintain order and transparency for our companys finances. We're a casual and fun creative production company and are looking for someone with tv/film/commercial production accounting experience. Must be able to work independently and have great communication skills. Attention to detail and high workflow efficiency are a must.

Overview:
As a Production Accountant your role will combine aspects of financial accounting as well as managerial accounting and bookkeeping.
We are looking for a reliable Production Accountant to assist in following all regulatory and accounting guidelines under the supervision of the Head of Finance. You will be responsible for identifying and preventing discrepancies and helping set up control systems.
An effective Production Accountant has good knowledge of accounting principles and exceptional bookkeeping skills. You must be an organized professional with a great eye for detail. You must be reliable and able to carry out tasks autonomously and collaboratively.
The goal is to contribute to the accounting and financial processes of the company, maintaining a high standard of accuracy in financial reporting and control.
Job Duties
Performing day to day bookkeeping in accordance with generally-accepted accounting principles
Assisting the Head of Finance in monthly closing
Assisting in payroll oversight for jobs booked
Actualizing budgets for internal and external audits
Reconciling budgets for monthly or annual closing
Audit support for accountants/business managers
Assisting with budgeting and actualizing
Controlling invoice payments and accounts payable
Supporting most aspects of accounting management
Assisting in the formulation of internal controls and policies to comply with legislation and established best practices
Review the companys accounting information to identify and resolve inaccuracies or imbalances
Requirements
Bachelors degree in accounting, finance, equivalent and/or 3 + years of proven experience in bookkeeping and preparing financial statements
Excellent knowledge of accounting and financial processes
Experience with HotBudget and entertainment industry payroll
TV/Film/Commercial production accounting experience
Full knowledge of accounts receivable and accounts payable processes
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Great attention to detail
Ability to analyze and solve problems
Interacts comfortably with colleagues at all levels throughout the company
Ability to perform highly detailed work on multiple, concurrent tasks
Works well under pressure and intensive deadlines
Organized and able to prioritize work under pressure
Work in a self-directed manner
Excellent knowledge of accounting and financial processes
Strong Microsoft Excel and Word Skills
Competency in Quickbooks
