The Opportunity



The Familiarisation Trip Manager will work cross-collaboratively to develop and implement the Tailormade & Scott Dunn Private (SDP) educational and press trips. This will require oversight of educational trips from end to end, including post-educational training, maintaining a library of consistent assets following each trip, working with marketing to develop compelling content from each trip, and ensuring our trips fall within budget and are costed and accounted for directly. This is with overall view of ensuring creativity, differentiation, alignment with our guest needs, scalability, and commercial benefit through our approach to familiarisation trips.



Responsibilities

The responsibilities for this role include (but are not limited to):




Work with multiple departments and the international offices to develop and implement the educational and press trip plans

Manage the annual fam trip roll-out so that the commercial needs of the business are balanced with maintaining excellent TC knowledge.

Ensure fam trips dovetail with the commercial vision of the business, with a strong emphasis on Castle properties and experiences - ideally itineraries should represent those featured on our website

Promote and maintain close relationships with the marketing team so each trip delivers enquiry generation opportunities through social media and other channels

Ensure suppliers deliver on their educational service level agreements, with costs minimised throughout

Review, update and refresh all educational policies and processes.

Be the custodian of the global fam trip budget. Work with leaders from all source markets to deliver a compelling fam trip framework for all businesses

Maintain a close focus on resource planning and coordination with the Head of Sales and Sales and Service Managers

Ensure fam trips dovetail with the commercial vision of the business, with a strong emphasis on Castle properties and experiences - ideally itineraries should represent those featured on our website

Coordinate with the FCTG air team to secure favourable air rates or complimentary places from airlines

Make sure that all trips are properly and accurately loaded in IT systems so that all costs are captured and crisis management processes will be properly enacted in case of an emergency

Ensure the Tailormade product team are providing the support to sales team that they need in order to offer accurate advice and book holidays easily.

Maintain post educational trip reporting, examining conversion rates and the sweet spot for trip length and when in the TC development cycle trips should occur. Link the investment in educational to TC performance

Make our approach to educational trips a cornerstone of our retention and talent acquisition strategy




About You



You will bring with you experience working within the travel industry and an acquired knowledge of educational trips, alongside a methodical approach and the ability to both forward plan, but also work within assigned budgets to deliver educational trips that are unique, creative, and deliver commercial benefit.



Previous experience within product is not required, with candidates who have acquired strong operational, commercial, and organisational skills being considered from a range of departments. Other requirements include:

Operational skills, with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail

Location

We aim to find someone who would be office based in our London, Hammersmith office. Part-time hours would be considered for the right candidate.
