Job Title: Principle Electrical Engineer - Power Electronics
Location: Dayton, OH (Onsite)
Job Description:
Lead the design effort for circuitry (Digital, Analog, and Power). These designs will be to Aerospace standard including but not limited to DO-160 and DO-254.
Review for Supplier Designed Equipment
Review of technology maturation, component capability, supplier transitions, product redesign, product improvements, requirement compliance, requirement verification and supplier assessments.
Review the Supplier correctly interprets, allocates, derives, validates, and traces the requirements in relation to the design and testing of the end product.
Ensure that the end product testing is correctly documented, performed, and approved, and that it provides complete verification of requirements.
Review Supplier processes are documented and meet acceptable standards, and ensures proper reviews are conducted
Engages appropriate technical expertise from within Collins to cover areas outside of their engineering background.
Ensure creation and adherence to department standards.
Review, evaluate, provide comments, approve and reject technical documents for Design specification, circuit Design/analysis/modeling, Notice of changes, failure investigations.
Generate design documentation including requirements specifications, design details, test procedures, and reports.
Prepare and review the drawings and layouts for production parts, components, and test equipment.
Review Design document, and test software and hardware to validate design details.
U.S. Person (U.S. citizen, permanent resident, refugee or asylee) or eligible to obtain necessary export authorizations required.
Fundamental circuit design skills and knowledge of Analog, Digital and Power Electronics circuits.
Experience in analysis and schematic layout software packages
Familiarity with electrical analysis software
Experience working in a team environment and communicating across multiple disciplines and levels of management.
Familiarity with DO-160 and DO-254 hardware design processes.
Provide analysis support throughout the development of a product/concept.
Analyze data and performance of designs and recommend actions to create an optimized design.
Experience with technologies related to specifically Power Generation / Power Conversion / Power distribution systems.
History of continuous improvement and relentless root cause methodology
