Position Description

Responsible for the operation and record keeping of all powerhouse equipment such as boilers, condensate systems, air compressors, dryers, pumps, water softeners, cooling towers, fans and switchgear designed to provide utility services to the manufacturing plant.

Responsible for tracking plant consumption of utilities such as electricity, steam, water, and compressed air. Responsible for operation of water treatment systems, including chemical water testing and maintenance of records.

Responsible for maintenance, lubrication, nd painting of all Powerhouse equipment. Responsible for inspection, preventive maintenance, repairs, spill containment, clean up and record keeping of environmental systems. Must perform all tasks in a safe and workman like manner.

Skills Required

Able to gain knowledge of boilers and powerhouse machine controls and functions Able to understand piping layout and the functions of all valves for piping within the Powerhouse Must be capable of puching/pulling up to 50 lbs. Must e able to bend, squat, kneel, twist, turn, and climb occasionally.

Experience Required

Minimum 6 months experience in boiler operations
