Celtic Bank is looking for a Post-Closing Review Team Lead! This is a great opportunity to work directly with the SVP, Loan Operations in overseeing the daily operations and the supervision of the Post-Closing staff and evaluate and approve collateral documents for our client loans, including real estate documentation, vehicle titles, life insurance, UCCs, etc.


As a Post-Closing Review Team Lead you will function as a liaison between counties, title companies, attorneys, underwriters, DMV's, customers and more to ensure all required documentation is received and you will interpret the information provided to ensure it is valid. During your real estate collateral review, you will work with the loan operations team and your clients to verify the proper lien position is obtained, documentation is accurate, and ensure any follow up documentation that might be required is completed. You will be a resource for your team and senior management to reach department objectives. The following list provides a more detailed description of tasks you may experience in this role:


WHAT YOULL DO AT CELTIC BANK

  • Employee management of all Post-Closing staff (training, coaching, counseling, performance management, goal setting, etc.).
  • Oversee daily workflow on department tasks to ensure all are meeting standard turn-around times and deadlines.
  • Serve as the point of contact to internal and external individuals of Post-Closing Team regarding loan files and post-closing processes.
  • Supervise Celtic Banks Loan Collateral Portfolio and all tasks associated with each transaction, including but not limited to:
    • Contacting and following up with Counties, Title Companies, attorneys, underwriters, DMVs and Life Insurance Co.,
    • Review, verify and resolve insurability issues with real estate documentation, (i.e. policies, Deeds of Trust, Mortgages) (link removed)>
    • Obtaining all required and requested endorsements paid for at closing and needed for the requited title policy coverage on collateral properties.
    • Researching in countys clerk websites for correct ownerships, loan priority and all other post-closing and related tasks assigned.
    • Train and support team member assigned to oversee collateral categories.
  • Interpret third party documents which consist of some of the following: UCC searches, title policies and commitments, insurance documents, surveys, real estate appraisals, valuation services, environmental reports, flood determination, etc.
  • Assist team on escalated cases that need management follow ups with 3rd party companies (to obtain final title policy and recorded DOTs and AORs; perfected title vehicles or Life Insurance Assignments.)
  • Submit and follow up on documentation for recording of various state agencies as needed (such as: follow up with DMV for vehicle titles, follow up for search-to-reflect, create new, amend, continue, and terminate UCC filings, Review fees and check requests as needed for recordings and follow up for recorded documents.)
  • Oversee paid off loans process and all duties including, verification of collateral to be released and completeness of checklist process, and timely mailing of re conveyances in accordance with state laws.
  • Assist other teams with collateral releases and perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

WHAT YOULL NEED TO DO IT

  • Bachelor's degree or 3-5 years in title or commercial lending preferred.
  • 3-5 years management/leadership experience; experience developing, implementing, and managing teams preferred.
  • Need a solid understanding and working knowledge of title search processes, title policy requirements, corresponding endorsements, and title commitments.
  • Proficient knowledge of commercial/SBA SOP, loan closing procedures/processes, lending compliance/regulations, loan systems and loan documentation.
  • Strong critical thinking skills and detail orientation with ability to make assertive and logical decisions and organizational skills to reach a resolution of issues.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office with strong emphasis on Excel skills.
  • Demonstrated customer service, organizational and time management skills.

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.   • Mobility: The employee in this position needs to occasionally move between work sites and inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
  • Communicate: The employee is regularly required to talk or hear and will frequently communicate with others. Must be able to read, write and understand fluent English.
  • Work Model: The employee will work either a fully Onsite, Hybrid or Remote work model. All employees, regardless of location, may be required to travel to the Salt Lake City office for mandatory company meetings, events, or related occasions.
    • Utah-based employees: Hybrid work schedule available after initial training period in our Salt Lake City, Utah office department and job requirements will determine eligibility.
