Teachers On Demand, INCis looking for a Long-Term Substitute Educators to partner with our amazing Partner School in Columbus, Oh.

Working as a Partner Teachers On Demand Educator, you will join a national cohort of educator with a mission to:

In the allotted time, I am able to explore a myriad of technique that fit the student's learning style and identify various strengths and weaknesses. Our Partner School will provide:

  • Free training and professional development.
  • Established curriculum and lesson plans provided by school.
  • Support from academic coaches for new teachers.
  • Assigned behavioral specialist for students.

Position: 9th/10th grade science

Compensation (Daily)

  • $200 per day Long-Term Substitute Educator role (non-STRS)
  • $46,000 annually should you prefer Direct-Hire with STRS

Responsibilities

  • Follow established curriculum and deliver the provided lesson plans.
  • Establish professional relationships with students and parents.
  • Instruct students in the basic skills needed for daily living and independent living.
  • Provide feedback to parents on their children's performance.
  • Collaborate with other teachers and support the school in its efforts to improve student outcomes.
  • Maintain a clean classroom and comply with health and safety regulations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Arts or Science Degree (Must have)
  • Valid teaching certificate or license (Nice to have)
  • Substitute License (must obtain with 30 days after assignment)
  • Have SPED experience.
  • Knowledge of the Ohio Department of Education model curriculum and Ohios New Learning Standards.
  • Previous experience working with young students in an educational setting.
  • Strong understanding of child development and early childhood education principles.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with children, families, and other staff members.
  • Ability to pass state and federal background checks.
  • Willingness to participate in ongoing professional development and training.
