Salary $: 32,500 : : Educational Requirements: :High school diploma or equivalent. Certification as Peer Support Specialist by state-approved training program.
Duties/Responsibilities: :The PSS will provide social and emotional support, advocacy and consumer information to the adult substance abuse population. These activities are provided to support the consumer to live their own lives and to direct their own recovery and wellness process.
: Experience Required: : History of lived experience with mental health-related difficulties; attend and complete Peer Support training; have an understanding of the recovery process and how to utilize that process to help others. Experience working with both Emotional Disorder and Substance Use.
