Job DescriptionResponsibilities will include : - Payroll Processing:
- Execute end-to-end payroll processing for employees in India, ensuring accuracy and compliance with local regulations.
- Calculate and process monthly salary, allowances, and deductions.
- Verify time and attendance records for accuracy.
- Compliance:
- Stay updated on changes in Indian labor laws and taxation regulations.
- Ensure compliance with statutory requirements related to payroll and benefits.
- Prepare and submit required reports to regulatory authorities.
- Employee Data Management:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records in the payroll system.
- Process new hires, terminations, and other employment status changes.
- Query Resolution:
- Respond to employee inquiries related to payroll and benefits in a timely and professional manner.
- Collaborate with HR and Finance teams to resolve any payroll discrepancies.
- Collaboration:
- Work closely with the HR team to ensure seamless integration between HR and payroll systems.
- Collaborate with Finance to reconcile payroll-related accounts.
- Employee reimbursements
- Expense Report Processing:
- Review and process employee expense reports, ensuring compliance with company policies and guidelines.
- Verify receipts and supporting documentation for accuracy and completeness.
- Policy Adherence:
- Stay updated on company reimbursement policies and guidelines.
- Guide employees on expense report submission and reimbursement procedures.
- Communication:
- Communicate with employees to resolve reimbursement-related inquiries and discrepancies.
- Collaborate with other departments to obtain necessary information for accurate reimbursement.
- Record Keeping:
- Maintain organized and detailed records of all reimbursed expenses.
- Assist in the preparation of reports and documentation for audits and compliance reviews.
- Technology Utilization:
- Utilize reimbursement software and tools efficiently to streamline the reimbursement process.
- Collaborate with the IT department to troubleshoot any technical issues related to reimbursement systems.
- Accounting and compliance support
- Supporting with basic accounting and compliance-related tasks, as needed.
Minimum Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
- Proven 2 years experience as a payroll assistant or in a similar role.
- Knowledge of Indian payroll laws, tax regulations, and statutory requirements.
- Proficiency in payroll software and MS Office, especially Excel.
- Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
