PRIMARY RESPONSIBLITIES/DUTIES:

Duties of the Painter include, but are not limited to:

· Prepares, primes, sands, seals, patches and paints surfaces. Includes buildings and fixtures utilizing all types of painting materials including oil and water based paints.

· Operates, cleans and maintains all painting equipment, painting area and work area.

· Assists Engineering Staff with various mechanical systems including light construction. Examples: door installations, deck installations, wood repairs, and light roofing repairs.

· Assists Water Technicians with pond maintenance which includes: filter changes and water skimming. (Proper training will be provided)

· Other duties as assigned by Assistant Chief Engineer and/or Chief Engineer.

· Must possess valid Driver’s License and maintain a satisfactory CA DMV record and be in possession of auto insurance policy.

• Personal vehicle use is required to travel between property locations.

· Ability to be on-call and participate in 24-hour radio/pager rotations, which may result in additional compensation as required by law.

· Must be able to work flexible shifts of morning and evenings along with weekends and holidays.

· Must have good organization skills.

· Ability to communicate effectively both written and orally.

• Ability to recognize potentially dangerous or hazardous conditions.
