Job Description
Quality Assurance Planning:
Collaborate with project managers, business analysts, and development teams to define quality assurance strategies, objectives, and deliverables for professional services projects.
Participate in project planning and requirements gathering to identify testing requirements, acceptance criteria, and quality metrics.
Develop comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts to ensure adequate coverage of functional, non-functional, and regression testing.
Test Execution and Automation:
Execute manual and automated tests to verify the functionality, usability, and performance of software applications and solutions.
Develop and maintain automated test scripts using testing frameworks and tools such as Selenium, JUnit, TestNG, or similar tools.
Conduct exploratory testing, usability testing, and ad-hoc testing to uncover defects and usability issues.
Defect Management and Reporting:
Identify, prioritize, and track defects and issues found during testing, using issue tracking systems such as JIRA, Bugzilla, or similar tools.
Work closely with development teams to investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve defects in a timely manner.
Provide clear and concise defect reports, status updates, and metrics to project stakeholders.
Quality Assurance Process Improvement:
Continuously evaluate and improve quality assurance processes, methodologies, and best practices to enhance efficiency, effectiveness, and quality of deliverables.
Identify opportunities for automation, tooling, and process improvements to streamline testing activities and increase test coverage.
Participate in retrospective meetings and post-mortems to review project outcomes, identify lessons learned, and implement corrective actions.
Client Communication and Collaboration:
Collaborate with client stakeholders to understand project requirements, priorities, and expectations related to quality assurance and testing.
Communicate test results, quality metrics, and project status updates to clients in a clear, professional manner.
Provide guidance, support, and training to client teams on quality assurance processes, tools, and best practices as needed.
