Hours: Day (Flex) 8a - 630pAssesses, implements, and evaluates care needed by assigned patients under the direction of the licensed physician. The RN is knowledgeable about principles, theories, current methods and techniques of nursing practice. Using the nursing process, the RN collaborates with the patient, patient's family member(s)/significant others, professional peers and other members of the health care team to individualize patient care. Directs nursing support staff in the provision of patient care according to the standards of nursing practice, administrative and departmental policies and procedures. Professional education, training or additional certifications may be required by specialty area. We are an interventional radiology unit with 5 procedure rooms and a 11 bed pre/post area. At minimum, we need 2 nurses with critical care experience. ICU, PACU, ER nurses will be able to work in the pre/post area working up patients for procedures and recovering patients (some sedated and some not) after procedures. Nurses with IR/cardiac cath experience can work in the procedure rooms. Additional responsibilities include acute care experience, Monitoring patients, documentation, conscience sedation, assessment and recovery of patients for minimally invasive procedures.Experience in IR/Cath Highly Preferred. Will consider PACU, ICU and ER experience as long as RN can prep patients for procedures and recover them from sedation. 2 years min experience requiredEducation Other : Graduate of an accredited school of nursing (Required) Bachelors Degree (Preferred) Experience 1 Year experience in area of clinical specialty (Preferred) License/Certifications RN-LIC - PA Registered Nurse License (Required) BLS - Basic Life Support (Required) AHA, BLS, FBI/CAC (Required)
