Pediatric Registered Nurse
Position Overview:
Everlasting Growth is currently looking for a Pediatric Registered Nurse - Home Care licensed in the state of Georgia to participate in the planning, development and implementation of the service plan and direct services to clients. Many of our clients are children and adolescents under 21 years of age who have special health needs, are medically frail or medically compromised with a severe medical condition or developmental disabilities needing private home care assistance.
Shift Details:
GA - Cherokee County
Monday - Sunday, Intermittent and flexible Part-time, Full-time Overnight hours available
Requirements:
- RN License
- Clean criminal background check
- Drug Test
- Negative TB test
- Signed statement of history of no misconduct
- Valid Driver's License
- Basic Life Support (BLS)/CPR; First Aid Certificate
- Ability to Read and Write English fluently as essential to safety and effective function of job
- Empathy and patience towards children
- Experience working in home health or patient home services preferred
- Emotional and mental strength dedication and motivation
Responsibilities Include:
75% or more -
- Assessing a child's needs and providing initial care.
- Identifying changes in children's symptoms and intervening in emergency situations.
- Participating in pain management for children.
- Tracheostomy Care
- Oxygen and/or Ventilator monitoring
- Medical Supervision
- Administering medications, drawing blood, and giving childhood vaccinations following age-appropriate guidelines.
- Monitoring temperature, pulse, breathing, and blood pressure and keeping accurate records.
- Evaluating children for signs and symptoms of abuse.
- Providing supportive care to dying children.
- Dealing with the anxieties and demands of parents, and helping families to deal with their child's illness or injury.
- Remaining up to date on the latest developments, rules and regulations, drug therapies, equipment, and treatment procedures.

- Opportunity to conduct Assessment to determine if a Client is Medically Fragile or Medically Compromised
- Opportunity to Review Clients History and Draw a Conclusion on the Medical Needs of the Client or, Provide Personal Service Plan for Each Client
- Build Relationships, Ability to Take Verbal Orders and/or Allow Parents or Childs Guardian to Be Involved in their Childs Physician Ordered Service Plan of Treatment Along With Any Service Goals
- Opportunity to Consult with Assigned Staff That Will Reach out Prior to Going Out to Serve the Client
- Opportunity to Supervise/Train CNAs PCAs and Nurses, Supervise Management of Records, Medication Administration, Monitoring Medication
- Opportunity Provide assessment in annual competency reviews and supervisory evaluation and document staff outcomes
- Opportunity to Conduct Orientation Training/Involvement in annual assessment of staff through direct observation or demonstration of the task the staff is assigned to provide and document the outcome of the assessment and provide staff a written report of the visit. Investigate incidents/grievances and investigate accidents
