Salary is Negotiable

After successful completion of the probationary period, employee will receive off probation wage increase.

Summary:

Under direct supervision of the Produce Supervisor, is responsible for harvesting apples. May assist with other duties within the Agriculture Department. Hours vary depending on ripening of crop and weather. This position is subject to lay offs and recalls depending on the needs of the apple orchard. This is an agriculturally exempt position.

Detailed responsibilities:

* Harvest all crops as needed and place in storage building.
* Grade and pack apples
* Harvest pumpkins, squash, and all other agriculture crops
* Prune trees.
* Plant, maintain, and harvest field crops.
* Operate tractor, chain saw, apple grader, and pruner.
* Contributes to a team effort and accomplishes related results as required

Skills:

Essential:
* Customer/Client Relation
* Ability to deal with the general public and Tribal employees with tact, courtesy, respect, objectivity and maturity
* Manual dexterity and/or excellent eye-hand coordination

Education Requirement - Or A Closely Related Field:

Essential:
* General Ed, High School Equivalency Diploma, HS Diploma
* Applicants age 50 and older are exempt from this requirement

Must pass a pre-employment drug screen and adhere to the Nation Drug and Alcohol-Free Workplace Policy.

A Tuberculosis (TB) Screening and/or a 2 step TB Skin Test is required within thirty (30) days of employment.

Must provide a copy of diploma/degree, license, or certification upon employment.
