Requirements
Key responsibilities:
Daily communication with shop manager to identify upcoming work and parts required for truck build up, collision repair, and vehicle refurb projects
Assist shop manager with quotes and estimates, work orders, and labor cards as directed
Work cooperatively and proactively with customers in person, by phone, and internet
Order and receive incoming parts, including pick up when necessary
Process shipping of outgoing parts
Procurement of necessary parts utilizing best source vendor selection based upon pricing, quality, and customer service
Maintain parts inventory and keep stockrooms, yard, and storage buildings clean, sorted, organized
Data entry of parts, parts numbers, parts description, vendor information, stocking numbers, into company owned software utilizing bar code and UPC symbols when available
Utilize Microsoft and estimating software
Work cooperatively and effectively with the other Truck & Trailer locations, including streamlining parts
Process development improvements with manager and co-workers
Operate forklift
Ten hour shift
For your safety, keep in mind:
- Heavy lifting is required 50 pounds or more would not be unusual
- Walking, twisting, bending, reaching, stretching are required
- Monday-Friday, some Saturday mornings, approximately 45-50 per week
- Shop noise, dirt, dust, moving mechanical parts and vehicles
- Exposure to hot and cold temperatures
Experience and Skills Needed:
- Solid experience in operations
- Solid customer service skills
- Working knowledge of basic office software
- Basic comprehension of truck buildup process
- Manual and finger dexterity
