Job Description
In this role, you have the opportunity to be part of the dynamic and highly motivated Procurement team of Philips Innovation Engineering, supporting a variety of innovation activities and projects in Philips Innovation & Strategy. You are working closely together with your direct strategic, tactical, and experienced operational procurement colleagues, as well as with development teams, suppliers and the central Procurement and Finance community. You are proactively contributing to successful project finalization.
The Philips Innovation Engineering organization is located on the High Tech Campus in Eindhoven (the Netherlands). The group draws upon a huge range of resources and expertise to support our customers in bringing their innovations to market, as fast and efficiently as possible. Each day brings new challenges as we work on many different projects.


In your role you:

Process Purchase Orders and create Purchase orders in SAP. You check purchase requests on completeness and ensure sourcing requirements are fully reflected in the Purchase Order.
Take ownership of delivery reliability by actively creating a delivery commitment with suppliers. Including proactive communication of delivery status, changes, and corrective actions.
Create new suppliers ensuring correctness of vendor master data via initiation of vendor master data changes or updates.
Purchase aftercare activities. Manage supply complaints and invoice discrepancies. Interact and team up in the aftercare phase with local and global operational teams in Procurement, Finance, Development, and logistics.
Proactively identify priorities and risks and anticipate with a solution mindset to prevent hick ups and guarantee a first-time-right material flow.
Participate or drive continuous improvement activities and display end-to-end thinking.
Follow-up incl. second (process) level issue support on purchased goods or services.
Support SCARs and supplier performance management.
Support logistics and transport coordination.
Credit card order handling.


You're the right fit if you have:

Minimum a Bachelors degree or similar through on-the-job experience.
At least 2-3 years of work experience in a similar procurement or supply chain role.
Experience with E-component sourcing or Electronics background is a plus.
Experience with and knowledge of SAP Purchase Order creation in a global company environment is a plus.
Relevant procurement certification is a plus.
Affinity for technology and innovation.
You are a team player with strong communication, and relationship management skills.
You are proactive, reliable, pragmatic and result-oriented.
Good written and verbal communication skills in the English language.
