Copperhead Tech, a Pequot Company, is seeking a part-time Occupational Safety Information System Analyst supporting a Department of the Interior's (DOI) Office of Occupational Safety and Health (OSH).

Duties included but may not be limited to:

  • Assess Safety tool capability vs client needs.
  • Assess the ability of the system to deliver the required data and services to DOI stakeholders.
  • Assess clients ability to maintain the safety tool to ensure maximum availability.
  • Determine SMIS suitability to operate in a Foundation Cloud Hosting Services (FCHS) environment per the client Cloud Program.
  • Assess services/data that safety tool needs to expose or provide to other systems and identify additions needed to support client requirements.
  • Assess services/data that safety tool needs to consume from other system to accomplish client objectives and identify needs and areas for improvement.
  • Evaluate the accuracy, reliability, and security of each interface and recommend improvements. At a minimum, data in transit should be encrypted and connections between systems should have appropriate access controls in place.
  • Assess COTS/GOTS vs client needs.
  • Cost Comparison COTS/GOTS vs Safety tool.
  • Develop Future System Capabilities (Plan of Action).

This is a part-time role anticipated to end on or about Nov 2023 with the possibility of extension. Contingent on vacancy.

Expected rate $80/hr - $115/hr

Work Environment:

  • Moderate noise (i.e. business office with computers, phone and printers) and /or occasional Loud noise (airfield, large equipment).
  • Ability to sit at a computer terminal for an extended period of time.

Physical Demands:

  • While performing the responsibilities of the job, the employee is required to sit, stand, talk, and hear.
  • Employee is often required to sit and use their hands and fingers to operate a computer.

Travel:

  • 0-10% / Minimal travel expected: offsites, meetings, training, a conference.

Requirements

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelors Degree.
  • Ability to pass a federal background investigation including fingerprinting.
  • Experience with Occupational safety/health tracking tools (such as DOORS) for federal client
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Outstanding communication skills, influencing abilities, and client focus.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in using all Microsoft Office applications.
  • Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis. WWC Global will not sponsor applicants for work visas for this position.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Certification in Occupational safety/Health, Industrial Hygiene.
  • DOI experience a plus.
