We are currently seeking a Network Facilities Engineering Manager to provide strategic leadership for designing, developing, delivering, and maintaining current and future technologies. This role addresses internal and external business needs, specifically focusing on technical telecommunications facilities and infrastructure to meet customer requirements. Additionally, the incumbent identifies and implements new technologies and tools to enhance technology delivery. The role establishes and enforces technical and operating performance standards while overseeing staff responsible for maintaining, planning, developing, and acquiring telecommunications technical facilities. Primary Responsibilities and Essential Functions Team Management: Supervises a team of 8-10 responsible for technology solutions, including maintenance, development, delivery, and RF network design oversight. Customer Experience: Establishes and manages systems for quality internal and external customer experiences, focusing on development, operational support, tools, methodology, continuous improvement, and metrics. Technical Service Oversight: Manages all activities, personnel, and technical issues related to providing technical services and solutions, ensuring the resolution of reported problems. Customer-Centric Approach: Proactively understands customers' business processes, key drivers, and measures of success, aligning strategies with short- and long-term business and technology goals. Project Management: Manages phases of approved technology projects, including business requirements development, analysis of potential solutions, and project planning. Collaboration and Partnership: Collaborates with technology suppliers, vendors, and peers to define and develop technologies supporting internal and external business needs. Facilitates discussions and validates technology solution strategies across functional groups. Financial and Operational Oversight: Responsible for capital and expense tracking, budget development and maintenance, and oversees operations to deliver high-quality services with reliability and performance. Manages BOMs, SOWs, MOPs, EWP approvals, obtains bids, creates purchase orders, and tracks invoices in Oracle. Handles SHOUT Notification Level and Remedy Queues. QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Bachelor's degree in a related discipline and 6 years' experience in a related field. (e.g., critical facility/data center or engineering) The right candidate could also have a different combination, such as a master's degree and 4 years' experience; a Ph.D. and 1 year of experience in a related field; or 10 years' experience in a related field1+ year of experience in management or lead roleStrong knowledge of RF and Ethernet properties and testing, signal flow layout of telecom facilities, and fiber optic transport technologyDemonstrated excellence in interpersonal, leadership, presentation, collaborative, and communication (oral and written) skills to work effectively with teams throughout the organizationPrior experience creating scopes of work (SOW), reviewing MOPs, and managing contractors Preferred BS/BA degree in a related discipline strongly desired (i.e., Electronics)Experience in telecommunications industry desiredUSD 128,000.00 - 213,500.00 per yearAbout Cox CommunicationsCox Communications is the largest private telecom company in America, serving six million homes and businesses.
