Shift Details: Days (7a-7:30p) Nights (7p-7:30a)

 



Located in the heart of Atlanta, hospital is a community-based, acute care teaching facility with more than 1,000 physicians spanning 28 specialties. Since 1908, the hospital has served Atlanta residents and patients from all over the Southeast. Today, the hospital is recognized nationally for its work in cardiology and heart-related diseases, as well as reconstructive surgery, maternal and infant care, orthopedics and gastrointestinal diseases. In addition to providing leading-edge medical care, hospital is becoming a local leader in sustainability by improving the energy efficiency of its facilities.



Hospital has more than 531 beds, including 86 ICU beds, a level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit and four hyperbaric oxygen units.



Position Summary:



The Med/Surg RN collects, reports, analyzes and provides data on an ongoing basis and as required by physician and/or interdisciplinary teams in accordance with organization standards. Revises and evaluates effectiveness of patient care documentation. Uses interviews, surveys, focus groups and questionnaires to identify and resolves areas for improvement. 



Qualifications:




  • BLS certification required and ACLS may be required in designated departments.

  • At least 24 months of recent nursing experience within the past five years in acute care hospital setting.

  • Must have a minimum 1 year as an RN w/ BSN or 2 plus years as an RN w/Associates. Must have experience in desired specialty.

  • Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse in the state of Georgia.
