Occupation: Mechanical Engineer (Full time)
Hours Per week: 38 Salary: $85,000 plus superannuation
Key Responsibilities:
Plans, designs, organises, and oversees the assembly, erection, operation and maintenance of mechanical and process plant and installations. Leading and providing guidance to the engineering team, aligning efforts with organizational objectives and, optimized resource allocation to maximize production time availability and achieve service delivery excellence. Developing, implementing, and monitoring engineering strategies, policies, and plans to elevate overall operational efficiency and effectiveness. Designing and overseeing the complete lifecycle of engineering projects, from planning and execution to monitoring. Ensured projects are completed within specified scope, budget, and schedule constraints. Designing a wide range of mechanical equipment, machines, components, and products for requirement and developing detailed specifications to guide the process. Directing the maintenance of plant buildings and equipment, and coordinating the requirements for new designs, surveys, and maintenance schedules Create detailed and accurate 3D models using computer-aided design (CAD) software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD etc.) Ensuring all engineering operations adhered to relevant industry standards, codes, and regulations. Maintaining a high level of safety and quality assurance throughout the processes. Effectively managed resources, including budgeting and procurement, to support engineering initiatives and projects, ensuring successful outcomes.
Required Skills and Qualifications A degree in Mechanical Engineering eligible for Membership of Engineers Australia Professional status. Seeking a qualified Mechanical Engineer with a robust skill set in plant design and project management. A minimum of 5 years post-graduate experience in manufacturing/design engineering. A comprehensive knowledge of machine design and drawing requirements. Willingness to work on a range of projects/tasks as workload dictates. Proficiency in problem-solving within mechanical systems. Knowledge of relevant industry codes and standards.
