DAILY RESPONSIBILITIES - (but not limited to)

  • Arranging fabrication of designs with Aesco Madsen manufacturing shop or with an approved sub-contractor.
  • Responsible for the application of relevant industry standards, codes and/or project-specific standards.
  • Resolving Engineering change requests.
  • Purchasing vendor parts and assemblies to facilitate fabrication.
  • Fabrication quote requests and sales support.
  • Understanding and conducting work practices in compliance with Aesco Madsen quality standards.
  • Potential travel to job sites or sub-contractor locations in order to take measurements and gather job specific data.


SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE

  • Experience designing electric motor, pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
  • Experience with metal fabrication, welding, design and manufacturing processes.
  • Ability to work in a collaborative environment.
  • Ability to understand cause and effect when designing and/or changing design specifications in Autocad.
  • Ability to work independently as well as take oral and written instructions.
  • Ability to build strong relationships with peers as well as management.
  • Persistence to meet deadlines.

Requirements

WORK EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

  • 2+ years of experience in heavy equipment mechanical design
  • BS in mechanical engineering
  • Ability to work independently on assignments under guidance of senior staff.
  • Autocad and Solid Works
  • Use of Algebra, trigonometry and some basic physics.
  • Current passport for potential travel to Canada & Mexico.
