Description: Diesel Mechanic THIS IS A FTE POSITION - High school diploma or GED equivalent; additional training such as technical school classes preferred
- -2 years' experience in highway equipment maintenance

- Adheres to all equipment maintenance schedules
- Repair and Maintenance of highway delivery equipment in compliance with Air Liquide, State and Federal requirements
- Assist with scheduling of maintenance activities using TMT
- Covers call outs as required
- The ability and experience to diagnosis and repair highway delivery equipment including hydraulic pumping and product transfer pumps
- Training & System knowledge
- On-board O.E.M. computer diagnosis systems
- People Net on board computer system
- Responsible for developing and implementing solutions to specific problems within the supply chain and logistics environment
- Learns and participate in root cause analysis investigations
- Computer literacy - TMT and Google Chrome and PeopleNet
- Extremely organized and effective at time management
- Willingness to work outdoors in extreme conditions
- Basic knowledge of transportation regulations
- DOT air brake certification
- CDL with HazMat Endorsements preferred
- Truck, cryogenic trailer and cylinder van mechanic
- Ability to troubleshoot/repair diesel tractors, cryogenic trailers, tube trailers, on-board computers and associated equipment in accordance with Air Liquide policies/procedures and DOT regulations
- Performs preventive maintenance, equipment upgrades
- Adheres to all equipment maintenance schedules; assists with scheduling of maintenance activities using TMT
- Maintains appropriate maintenance/repair records utilizing TMT and other computer processes
- Reads/interprets equipment condition reports, repair orders; communicates with supervisor/operator for clarification of problems; discusses preventive techniques with operators to minimize future repairs
- Develops/implements solutions to specific problems within the supply chain and logistics environment

General Requirements: - High school diploma or GED equivalent; additional training such as technical school classes preferred
- 2 years' experience in highway equipment maintenance
- Class A CDL with HazMat endorsement; DOT brake certification preferred.
- Strong mechanical aptitude; technical reading aptitude (i.e. electronic service bulletins; auto repair manuals)
- Must have own hand tools
- Must be able to communicate in English, both verbally and written; ability to read/understand English
- Basic knowledge of transportation regulations
- Use of Personal Protective Equipment including, but not limited to, dust mask, earplugs, gloves, hardhat, respirator, safety glasses, work boots and safety vest
- Computer literacy; Google Chrome, TMT, on-board OEM computer diagnosis systems
- Extremely organized; effective at time management
- Capable of lifting a minimum of 50 lbs.; full range of motion from floor to above head
- Ability to work in confined spaces for an extended period of time, such as the undercarriage of a heavy equipment vehicle; move into/out of heavy equipment trucks with ease
- Ability to work extended hours/shift work as business needs dictate; on call nights, weekends, holidays as required
- Ability to work in a shop environment including, but not limited to, machines, tools, heavy equipment, chemicals, solvents, dust, fumes; willingness to work outdoors in extreme conditions
