Our mechanics perform a variety of tasks from providing testing, repairing both on-site and off-site troubleshooting, and maintenance of Hog equipment and vehicles. Some of our Mechanics are assigned to the lanes that we have for the assembly of our Stripe Hog, Grinder Hog, Surface Hog, Rumble Hog, Epoxy Hog, Thermo Hog, and Paint Hog equipment. The Mechanic Service Technician position is responsible for solving issues related to the HOG Trucks. Our mechanics will work with the Chassis, Hydraulics, Electrical, and Plumbing operating systems of these amazing trucks.

Our ideal candidates will have a basic understanding and experience with all aspects of heavy equipment maintenance and repair and may need to work independently with minimal supervision. Our trucks are assembled on a variety of chassis such as Mac, Peterbilt, Ford, Isuzu, Scania, among many other.

Specific Responsibilities Include:

You will need to be able to use various hand tools and power tools, read and interpret manuals and schematics, and troubleshoot problems. In addition, you should have good customer service skills and be able to communicate effectively with our customers during offsite work.

Operate and inspect Hog trucks to diagnose defects.

Diagnose, adjust, repair, or overhaul Hog vehicles (trucks), their engines, and assemblies, such as hydraulic and electrical systems.

Maintain, repair, and rebuild Hog trucks, functional components, and parts.

Examine and inspect truck components to locate cracks, breaks, leaks, or other problems.

Conduct routine and special inspections as required by regulations.

Inspect completed work to certify that maintenance meets standards and that vehicle is safe and ready for operation.

Read and interpret maintenance manuals, service bulletins, and other specifications to determine the feasibility and method of repairing or replacing malfunctioning or damaged components.

Maintain repair logs, documenting all preventive and corrective maintenance.

Modify systems, or components, following drawings, schematics, charts, engineering orders, and technical publications.

Inspect vehicles for wear or other defects and measure parts for wear, using precision instruments.

Obtain fuel and oil samples and check them for contamination.

Test equipment after repair or assembly to ensure proper performance and compliance with Hog Technologies specifications.

Clean, lubricate, and perform other routine maintenance work on equipment and vehicles.

Requirements


***This is an On-Site, not a Remote Job - this position may require travel from time to time***

Qualifications / Experience:

High School Diploma, GED or Equivalent. Vocational/Trade School mechanic training or certification preferred.

Minimum 3 years experience as a Small, Medium or Heavy Truck Mechanic

Experience working with Mechanical, Electrical, and Hydraulic systems preferred

Skilled in using power and air tools

Must own, and be comfortable using, typical shop tools to assemble a variety of components

Self-disciplined, highly organized, and goal-oriented.

Mechanical aptitude is necessary.

Ability to appropriately represent Hog Technologies to customers worldwide.

Ability to complete the assignment, using mechanical abilities and critical thinking skills, often in remote locations.

Comfortable working independently

Other Important Information:

Supervisory Responsibility: This position does not have supervisory responsibility.

Work Environment: This job operates in a variety of environments based on the location of the job which could lead to hot, cold, dusty, and noisy or hot areas.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position. Night and weekend work may be required to meet customer requirements.

Travel: This position has travel requirement (the in-house mechanics do not travel but may travel from time to time if the opportunity becomes available. Traveling team members receive travel pay, per diem allowance and and company paid lodging.
