The mechanic assistant will support the company’s operations by assisting mechanics with assessing, performing and maintaining all necessary repairs required on the company’s entire fleet of vehicles and equipment. 

Essential Responsibilities and Functions

• Assist with performing maintenance on construction equipment, including cranes, power shovels, scrapers, motor graders, trench-digging machines, conveyors, bulldozers, dredges, pumps, compressors, bucket trucks, cars, pickup trucks, semi-trucks and various other equipment related to the electrical trade


• Examine parts for damage or excessive wear


• If able, weld broken parts and structural members


• Install or assist with installing new material/equipment, as directed


• Perform maintenance required by various governing agencies (DOT, OSHA, etc.)


• Perform general equipment upkeep, including power washing, interior cleaning, and detailing


• Align decisions and actions according to the company’s vision, mission and core values
