The Longboat Key Chamber of Commerce is currently accepting applications for the position of Marketing & Member Relations Manager
Primary Objectives:
The Marketing & Member Relations Manager will lead and execute marketing, membership communications and community endeavors of the Longboat Key Chamber of Commerce aligned with the goals and objectives set forth by the Chamber. The Marketing & Member
Relations Manager will also consistently act as an upstanding representative of the Chamber within this role.
Duties and Responsibilities:
-Handles ongoing communications functioning as a liaison to members, visitors, residents,
Board of Directors and Town personnel to ensure a consistently positive customer service experience
-Updates and improves the Chamber website on an ongoing basis
-Develops marketing materials
-Membership database management
-Works as a team member to proof yearly Visitors Guide & Business Directory
-Assists with new member recruitment
-Regularly communicates with members, residents and vacationers through use of e-mail,
Constant Contact and Social Media
-Participates in Meeting and Event Planning and attends events
-Involved in the development and implementation of Member Education opportunities
-Assists members with ad hoc requests
-Assists in recruiting volunteers and leads Volunteer Training and Development
-Attends Board of Director Meetings and committee meetings when needed

Work Environment and Typical Physical Requirements:
Work is mostly performed in an inside, temperature controlled environment and may sometimes include travel throughout the community and to meeting sites. Occasional weekend and evening hours may be required. In addition, some lifting of materials and/or equipment of 50 pounds or less will occur.
Job Requirements:
The Marketing & Member Relations Manager will have a minimum of three years of experience with marketing and advertising, web design knowledge, branding, strategic use of social media, customer service and community outreach. Outstanding leadership, interpersonal communications, and creative problem-solving skills are expected. The Marketing & Member Relations Manager should show flexibility, foster a positive and cooperative work environment, display efficiency, learn about local businesses and meet business owners, and understand the importance of business as it relates to the success of the community. The Marketing & Member Relations Manager is also expected to understand that the Chamber has great importance to the community it serves.
