The Staffing Alliance is looking for an enthusiastic marketing intern to join our team in Lumberton, NC.



As the marketing intern, you will be working one-on-one with our Operations Assistant to assist with a variety of social media marketing and sourcing initiatives.



Ultimately, you will gain broad on-the-job experience in the following:




  • social media management

  • graphic design

  • blogs

  • copywriting

  • website maintenance

  • email marketing



You will additionally learn much about the following HR/Recruitment functions:




  • Sourcing and networking

  • Administrative tasks



Social Media focus includes:



Assisting with social media engagement by helping manage our social channels. Drafting and editing copy for social channels. Monitoring social media web analytics on a weekly basis (ex page views, followers, audience, etc.) and help provide reports of growth and other activity.



Marketing focus includes:



Engaging with Operations Assistant to brainstorm new and innovative marketing and social media campaigns. Assisting with gathering data for marketing reports and supporting a variety of marketing and advertising programs. Working on recruiting ideas. Assisting with content marketing (i.e. assisting in creating engaging videos, graphics and other multimedia.) Website maintenance and search engine marketing research. Researching industry-specific sites (blogs, forums, etc.).



Sourcing focus includes:



Sourcing for new candidates, posting/sharing information online regarding job openings, networking by designing and passing out flyers, and cleaning up internal resume databases.



Requirements/Qualifications:




  • Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong attention to detail.

  • Knowledge and experience with Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, and other social media platforms.

  • Experience with Microsoft Office.

  • Knowledge of Adobe Suite is a plus.

  • Applicants must currently be enrolled at a college or university working towards a degree in business, marketing, communications or HR.



Work Schedule:




  • Flexible, depending on the student's class schedule. Office hours are M-F from 8am 5pm.

  • Hours Per Week: 20-30 hrs.
