Bergen Logistics is looking for a Marketing Assistant to help plan and implement our marketing and advertising activities.

For this role, you should be comfortable writing and publishing digital content, understand the full marketing mix and be familiar with ways to analyze market research and customers behavior. You should also be able to create spreadsheets and analyze quantitative data to interpret ROI and KPI metrics.

Ultimately, you should help us achieve our business goals through building and managing high performing marketing strategies and campaigns.

Duties and responsibilities

• Manage daily administrative tasks to ensure the Marketing department runs smoothly
• Create and manage content and calendar for social media channels.
• Create internal marketing materials: employee newsletter, digital signage
• Develop content and strategies for web site enhancements.
• Manage digital media strategies and campaigns.
• Gather and analyze consumer behavior data (e.g. web traffic and rankings)
• Create reports on marketing and sales metrics, like conversion rates
• Keep organized records of marketing metrics and results of past campaigns
• Prepare regular sales forecasting reports
• Monitor competitors marketing activities
• Conduct market research to identify new opportunities
• Identify and engage media influencers.
• Research and maintain industry event and tradeshow calendars.

Requirements

• BS degree in Marketing, Journalism or related field or proven work experience as a Marketing Associate, Marketing Assistant or similar role
• Excellent writing, designing and publishing skills
• Knowledge of digital marketing tools and techniques
• Experience with SEO/SEM campaigns, web analytics and Google Adwords
• Solid computer skills, including MS Excel, Word, Powerpoint, GSuite
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Strong analytical skills with a goal-oriented attitude
• Ambitious and self-motivated
• Excited about learning and expanding comfort zones
