America’s Thrift Store’s Marketing Department is seeking a marketing assistant to promote our business and charity partners digitally and generate leads through our email and various social media platforms. The ideal candidate is extremely organized and detail oriented. The role will be responsible for creating, modifying and reviewing artwork to be printed using all aspects of production. Utilizing various computer applications as needed to duplicate/modify art to meet required manufacturing specifications. Must have the ability to properly evaluate artwork for all methods of imprinting. Must be experienced in designing graphic and video content and adapting to fit size and use of different digital and traditional channels. The Marketing Assistant will assist the Marketing Manager with projects concerning both internal and external digital & social marketing initiatives and communications. The successful candidate must be a dynamic, technically savvy, creative and analytical team player who truly loves social and digital media and demonstrates strong foundational design skills with the ability to emulate brand and design standards.



 



The ideal candidate has strong written and verbal communication skills, strong organizational skills, be a self-starter with a high level of initiative and proactivity and a desire to assist and improve existing digital marketing processes. This position will be responsible for managing and driving engagement with all post content and social video views for maximum reach, relevance and effectiveness. This encompasses utilizing both live (Instagram stories, Facebook Live, Snapchat) and edited/pre-scheduled content (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, emailing marketing).



We are searching for a go-getter in the marketing field by assisting with ongoing digital campaign processes such as email (using MailChimp) and social content creation projects as well as assisting with and executing some self-started projects with guidance from the team.                                                                         JOB DUTIES                                                                                   

Primary Job Duties




  • Assisting with the creation of our email, social, and web marketing campaigns from start-to-finish.

  • E-mail marketing: Creation and distribution.

  • Managing Multi Channel Social Media: Content Creation, Content Management and Customer Service.

  • Create and edit short social media videos for internal or external use.

  • Assist with project management and processes.

  • Generate data, reports and ongoing analysis as needed on the effectiveness of digital/social marketing efforts.



 



 



Secondary Job Duties:



 




  • Think critically to assess and prioritize tasks

  • Be a part of cross-functional marketing team

  • Travel approximately 25% to pursue digital marketing opportunities

  • Comply with all company policies and procedures on and offline.

  • Ability to assist with SEM/Paid Search is a plus

  • Creating and sending proofs to leadership

  • File and production proofing experience. Resolve any artwork issues that arise during production

  • Creating virtual images and digital renderings of products

  • Preparing images for online use

  • Ability to color correct artwork based on specific PMS colors and/or customer supplied artwork

  • Possess a thorough understanding of production methods and applications to prepare efficient and effective files for output

  • Demonstrate graphic design and/or layout skills from scratch and with customer provided artwork



 


QUALIFICATIONS

Must have 3-5 years’ work experience and be a graduate from an accredited 4-year college or university having experience in or majoring in one of the following:



• Graphic Design



• Marketing



• Communications



• Business Well-versed in Microsoft programs




  • Experienced in using Adobe Creative Suite and/or other frequently used design software

  • Experienced in designing graphic and video content and adapting to fit size and use of different digital and traditional channels

  • Good understanding of designing for digital and traditional channels and differences of

  • Experienced in working to a creative brief to produce content to support campaign objectives and engage identified audiences

  • Able to manage creative process from brief and creation to review and placement, to a timeline, as needed, working with a team to gather input as needed

  • Experience in management social media business accounts (Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest, Twitter and YouTube)

Physical Demands:

  • Frequently- walking on tile/concrete, bending, feeling, and reaching waist/overhead level.

  • Occasionally-loud noise, cluttered floor surface, nuisance dust, fumes, sprays, and hazardous cleaning solutions.

  • Mostly regular hours, occasionally working evenings, weekend and holiday hours as needed.

  • Working environment involves inside office with controlled temperatures and outside conditions with varying weather and temperatures.
