Manufacturing Technician Internal only Location: US-OR-Beaverton Email this job to a friend

The Manufacturing Technician collaborates directly with the department coordinator/manager/process engineer to support the production team. Under limited supervision, provide technical support for the department. Prioritize, troubleshoot issues and work with engineering to resolve them. Vanguard EMS, Inc. is in the service business. What youll do: - Ensure machines, tools and equipment are maintained and in good working condition.
- Coordinate with team coordinator and department manager to plan for Machine/Equipment PM and Calibration.
- Maintain and monitor Conformal Coat Control Chart and PM checklist
- Displays an acceptable-level critical thinking and analysis to help Engineer identify root cause of the problem while supporting production.
- Perform machine setup and Preventative Maintenance (PM) according to documented schedule/procedure.
- Maintain a clean and highly organized area and participate in 5S activities and projects.
- Participate in continuous improvement by looking for opportunities for improvement and working projects assigned by department Manager.
- Understand and adhere to all Vanguards policies, process, and workplace guidelines.
- Day-to-day technical support for Conformal Coat
- Auto Spray/Manual Spray Technical Support and Programing
OTHER DUTIES - Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements Education and/or Experience - High School Diploma, GED or Equivalent
- Experience in a manufacturing environment
- Solder processes any
- Machine operation or set up experience
- Strong mechanical aptitude/experience
SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES Computer Skills High level of proficiency in computer systems including Microsoft Excel Office, and Outlook Language Skills English (reading, writing, and verbal) Mathematical Skills Intermediate Other Skills - Displays a high-level critical thinking and analysis
- Demonstrated self-motivation, problem solving abilities, team spirit and a hands on mentality
- Ability to meet deadlines without sacrificing accuracy or quality
- Strong attention to detail, organization, and thoroughness
- Excellent internal and external interpersonal and communication skills, both written and oral.
- Communicate in person, over the phone, email, internet or in writing in a positive and professional manner at all times
- Ability to work with minimal supervision and make productive use of time
- Strong machinery and tool troubleshooting
