Pinterest, Inc. seeks Manager I, Machine Learning Engineering in Seattle, WA:

Job Duties: Lead the Query Recommendations team, which is responsible for search functionalities for more than 450 million monthly active Pinterest users. Drive Search volume growth by improving the coverage, quality and efficiency of our recommender systems, drive growth in business metrics related to Shopping by investing in Personalization on the Search surfaces, and drive native content and Creator success on the Pinterest platform. Influence technical direction of the team including machine learning algorithms used in the team, partnering with Content understanding teams within Pinterest to improve our recommendations, enforcing discipline via metrics within the team, and steering the team towards the right underlying systems to power the Search product. Deeply understand the Pinterest Search product, and drive the vision for the Query Recommendations team. Provide visibility for senior leadership into the team’s global impact and partner with stakeholders to expand impact across the company. Mentor and grow engineers on the team. Telecommuting is permitted.

Minimum Requirements: Master’s degree (or its foreign degree equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering (any field), or closely related quantitative discipline and two (2) years of experience in the job offered or in any occupation in related field, OR Bachelor’s degree (or its foreign degree equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering (any field) or closely related quantitative discipline and five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in the job offered or in any occupation in related field.

Special Skill Requirements: (1) Python; (2) C/C++; (3) SQL; (4) PyTorch; (5) Kafka; (6) Java; (7) Hadoop; (8) Pandas; (9) Model Deployment; and (10) Spark. Any suitable combination of education, training and/or experience is acceptable. Telecommuting is permitted.

Salary: $245,700.00 - $258,470.00 per annum and standard company benefits.
