About the Role

The Manager Group Sales Position will have the primary focus on the Association Market. The candidate will be responsible for generating group sales via cold calls and in person sales calls to and maintain a client base to produce sales that meet or exceed expectations.

Position Responsibilities

  • Telemarketing/cold calls: follow-up correspondence weekly
  • In person sales calls to be directed and authorized by supervisor
  • Qualifying/screening information requests daily. Meet and exceed targeted shop scores on a weekly, monthly and annual basis.
  • Sales production: meet & exceed targeted Ocean Casino Resort tentative, definite and actual room and night revenue counts as indicated in the Daylight Pace Report on a weekly, monthly and annual basis
  • Follow-up with definite and operated clients monthly
  • Continuing client interface and customer service weekly
  • Providing regular feedback/reports on sales issues to supervisor daily in the Daylight Activity and Call Report and when otherwise directed
  • Process expense reports, purchase orders and check requests consistent with corporate policy and on a timely basis.
  • Maintain client base, administrative tasks, sales production records on a timely basis (i.e. daily, no later than one week after original request from client), client files i.e. calling lists, daily activity/telemarketing logs, prospect ranking/qualifying listing, account and customer histories on a weekly basis.
  • Manage expense budget according to corporate fiscal directives and as agreed to in the annual forecast
  • Responsible for communicating problems and needs to management to facilitate achievement of sales and service objectives as soon as practicable.
  • Attend trade shows, client presentations, sales meetings and educational seminars as directed by supervisor
  • Responsible for maintaining accurate property information through daily use of intranet, email and other forms of communication.
  • Maintains confidentiality of all Ocean Casino Resort proprietary information.

Essential Functions

  • Exposure to casino related environmental factors including but not limited to secondhand smoke, excessive noise and hectic environments.
  • Must be able to work holidays, weekends, and flexible shifts/hours
  • Ability to effectively communicate in English (Read, Write, Speak & Understand)
  • Must be able to lift/push/pull up to 10 pounds

Requirements

Whats Required

  • BS or BA degree from an accredited four-year university preferred
  • Three (3) + years of experience working in the specific markets specified above
