A dynamic Engineering Design company is looking for a Heavy Equipment Testing Engineer working on New Product Development (NPD) programs to work at our Henderson, NV Campus. R&D / Prototype shop exposure and experience a plus. This job reports to the VP of Engineering

Youll have the opportunity to manage testing responsibility to support the company's new product development efforts.

Successful candidates will be responsible for contributing to the development of new test procedures. The focus is on delivering a high-quality product, efficiently.

Requirements

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Responsible for testing/validation program, direction, test plan generation, test execution, and reporting
  • Provides expert testing/validation analysis and direction for a proposed system(s). Able to pre-evaluate and determine, and suggest proper testing/validation procedures and plans to properly validate design intention to requirements and end-use
  • Works within new product development process to support assigned tasks including complete testing program (generating test plan(s), executing test plan/procedures, generate test reports)
  • Commits to agreed to engineering project timelines, and budget
  • Provides input and direction for the accurate generation of test plans and reports for assigned projects
  • Suggests and manages the fabrication and/or procurement of required test fixtures and equipment to complete tasks assigned
  • Communicates between different processes, teams, departments, and management hierarchy as required
  • Execute and report the status of assigned tasks to other departments as well as upper management as required
  • Participate in both internal and external customer and supplier meetings as necessary to assure achievement of project goals
  • Undertake new tasks or projects as determined by current business needs/requirements.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ATTRIBUTES PREFERRED:

  • Must be results-driven and can encourage and to speak up to people and teams to perform as needed
  • Ability to analyze data and costs, prioritize tasks, problem-solve, project manage and manage change.
  • Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal) with the immediate team, all participating inside and outside departments, supplier and customer base, as well as upper management
  • Able to manage multiple projects in varying stages of process execution with knowledge, expertise, and motivation to succeed

EXPERIENCE:

  • Minimum 2-10 years of product testing/validation engineering experience, including expertise in construction, agriculture, and/or related industry.
  • Demonstrated experience with an engineering team, in a team environment (matrix organizational structure a plus)
  • Minimum BSME/BSEE or related degree applicable to the position
  • Hands-on manufacturing and/or product assembly experience
  • R&D / Prototype shop exposure and experience a plus
  • Mobile construction machinery, automotive, or off-highway vehicle engineering experience desirable.
