The Job
The Fabrication Technician will primarily be responsible for polishing sapphire windows using lapping machines. Secondary tasks will include cutting and grinding using various machines. The individual will be responsible for visually inspecting parts and must be able to follow established procedures to ensure tight process control.
The Shift
This is a 1:30PM 10:00PM second shift job opportunity, Monday-Friday. Overtime is available when production needs require it and is typically worked beyond the normal shift end time or at times on Saturdays. Training for this position will take place on first shift which is 6:00AM to 2:30PM and will likely take approximately 6 weeks.
Requirements
The Ideal Candidate
A background in manufacturing will serve you well in this role though is not required. Above all, a positive attitude and willingness to work are essential. Candidates must be able to be on their feet for 90% of their shift and capable of lifting up to 40 lbs. High School diploma or GED required.
